Our aim is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ! The mission of Mt. Paran is to educate, teach and train congregants and community residents in holistic living.
Mt. Paran was organized in 1988 in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn. We seek to address spiritual, moral and health concerns of our community. The need to address and remediate hunger in the immediate area of the church, prompted Mt. Paran to establish a soup kitchen in 1992.
From these beginings, a Resource Center developed. Renamed The Bishop John Brown Elliott Center, this facility provides food, clothing, job referrals and counseling. The Church also maintains a food pantry that assists low-income families.
